Summer Vacation in The Virgin Islands

Melissa didn't have a passport, so we snuck her in to the British Virgin Islands by boat.

Seriously, we didn't wait until Nick left in July to go the the Virgin Islands. He wanted to spend as much time at home as possible before he left, so we HAD to wait till after he was gone. But he wants us to go back in two years. We stayed on St. Thomas, but also went to St. Johns and some of the British Virgin Islands. It was very relaxing. And somewhat boring for Melissa--being an only child wasn't as much fun on vacation with Mom and Dad.

NICK

Nick finished two semesters of college and loved every minute of it. Then, along with several of his friends, turned in his papers to serve a church mission. He came home for a weekend with his letter to read to a room full of people. We were all taking bets on where he'd go, and were laughing about people who go to Idaho. Then he read "Idaho, Boise," and we thought he was joking. He said people looked so disappointed when he told them where he was going. But he is already 1/4 of the way done. He has really enjoyed it there and loves the people because he does service for them. It really has been a great place for him to be, and he's had lots of success there.
